The State of AI in 2022... and a Half Decade in Review
Abstract
This report showcases the result of the McKinsey Global Survey on Ai, which shows the expansion of technology's use dating back 5 years. The adoption of AI has more than doubled since 2017, but the percentage of organizations using AI has remained steady. Some companies achieving high financial returns from AI are outperforming their competitors. These leaders are investing more in AI, adopting advanced practices, and excelling in the competitive AI talent market. The study also highlights the need for improvement in diversity within AI teams, as diverse teams are associated with exceptional performance.
